The Harmony of Cultures Festival marked its second year with a weekend of film, performances, and community programming at the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum. The festival brought together artists and cultural groups from across Waterloo Region, creating space for shared expression and community connection.

This year’s program included the screening of Dahomey by Mati Diop, a community trivia night, and performances by Amadou Kienou, Intensely Irish, Kween, Sewa, Zolah, Ubuntu Kids, and the Fil‑Can Association. The festival also awarded $3,000 in grants through its annual pitch competition and featured art exhibits, a reading corner, and a food and artisan market showcasing local vendors.

We extend our thanks to Afrikada, the Government of Canada, our vendors, community partners, and the dedicated team of volunteers who made this year’s festival possible.
