Despite having high aspirations, Black youth in Ontario face barriers to achieving higher levels of education, largely due to financial obstacles. According to Statistics Canada, financial need is a significant hindrance, with individuals of color being nearly twice as likely to forgo post-secondary education.

To address this issue, we established the Afropolitan Canada Scholarship Fund. Our goal is to remove financial barriers that young Black students may encounter when pursuing post-secondary education, whether it be at the university, trade school, or college level.

These scholarships are specifically tailored for students attending schools in the Greater Toronto Area, providing support for their academic pursuits in fields that often have limited visibility. These fields include, but are not limited to, finance, commerce, entrepreneurship, political science, engineering, science, technology, and mathematics.
