Our Annual Family Fishing Day is Back!
Our Annual Family Fishing Day is Back!
Our Roots & Rivers program bridges the gap between BIPOC communities in Canada and the outdoors. We provide tailored experiences in nature, conservation practices, and traditional outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing and camping.
Our annual gathering offers BIPOC families a welcoming space to learn casting and reeling, connect with nature, and discover the joys of fishing.
A weekend getaway for BIPOC women in Waterloo and the GTA, combining outdoor adventure, personal growth, and community connection.
Launched in 2024, Roots and Rivers connects BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) individuals and families to nature and conservation.
Our program addresses barriers and cultural disconnects that have historically limited BIPOC engagement with the Canadian outdoors by offering tailored experiences in hiking, fishing, camping, and conservation practices.
Through these activities, we foster confidence, inclusion, and a sense of belonging in natural spaces—empowering participants to enjoy, care for, and lead within Canada’s outdoor and conservation communities.
Your support helps keep nature-based programs accessible for BIPOC families, fostering confidence, inclusion, and belonging in the outdoors.
