About the Program
Kickstart United is a fully subsidized soccer program for children and youth in Waterloo Region. Participants develop soccer skills, teamwork, and confidence in a culturally responsive environment designed to welcome Black, newcomer, and racialized families.
Every participant receives:
- Certified coaching β trained in inclusion and cultural sensitivity
- Full equipment β soccer ball, shin guards, and jersey provided
- Transportation support β assistance available for families facing barriers
- Accessible programming β designed to welcome children with disabilities
Why It Matters
Organized sport is still out of reach for too many families because of cost, transportation, and systemic barriers. Kickstart United exists to remove those barriers β so more children can play, grow, and belong.
